Sustainable mobility

Sustainable mobility

Sustainable mobility patterns will grow in importance in the coming years. Not only is the transport sector a significant cause of greenhouse gas emissions, but our mobility needs and the increasing commodity flows are also causing an enormous demand for energy. This demand is currently primarily satisfied by limited resources. These problems must be overcome by developing and implementing the appropriate technical solutions. Efficient technologies are only the final links in the chain. Good planning, long lasting adaptation of individual mobility patterns, and suitable economic and political instruments are central elements to achieving sustainable mobility.

BEF Germany wants to engage even more with issues of sustainable mobility and improve engagement with the theme throughout the BEF network.
