On 18-20 March 2019, the two H2020 projects ResponSEAble and MARINA invited – in cooperation wit the European Parliament SEARICA Intergroup & IOCUNESCO – to the joint conference OCEAN DIALOGUES 2019 in Brussels.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the role of Ocean Literacy (OL) and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and develop it further to support ocean governance.
The outcome was a solid manifesto stating how OL and RRI become effective tools for creating opportunities for healthy interactions between humans and the sea. The manifesto was presented at a policy workshop organized at the European Parliament received very positive feedback.
