Did you know that only 38 per cent of surface waters in the European Union are not polluted with chemicals? Half of the substances that pollute our environment come from urban sources. In our NonHazCity project and its extensions, we have developed tailor-made solutions that include chemical action plans for cities, information materials for businesses and training for residents to detoxify their households.

Because NonHazCity was nominated for the REGIOSTARS AWARD in the category “A green Europe”. This has been awarded annually since 2008 and has since become a seal of quality for projects that find answers to common challenges and inspire other regions to pursue effective local policies. As in previous years, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite finalist in 2023 and to award a Public Choice Award.
