BEF DE Team visited the INTERREG Secretariat in Rostock – who is the funder of our NonHazCity project – and checked their office for hazardous substances.
The office check revealed that it is equipped with environmentally friendly interior materials and furniture, e.g. wooden furniture, simple wallpaper and dispersion paints, few plastic items, solvent free tape, and some ecolabeled utensils. In addition, we supported the Secretariat with their tender for an environmentally friendly cleaning service.
During the day, we were approached by many very interested employees asking for more information about hazardous substances in their private households. Discussions were vibrant and the feedback was positive – and we felt that it was a very valuable experience on all sides .
