Heidrun Fammler moderated the Green Governance Day in Vilnius

On 26 November 2025, Vilnius hosted Green Governance Day – a powerful gathering of European cities and experts showing how public procurement drives the green transition.

With public procurement representing up to 14% of EU GDP, strategic use is key to accelerating climate action, reducing harmful chemicals, and boosting circular economy solutions.

Leaders from across the Baltic Sea Region shared inspiring examples–from Tallinn’s reusable event solutions to Sweden’s sustainable construction–proving cities can lead real market change.

Together, we’re shaping a future where procurement is a strategic tool for innovation, sustainability, and healthier communities.

This event is organized by ChemClimCircle-2 and NonHazCity-3 projects in coordination with the  Vilnius City Municipality.
