About me
At BEF, I am working on making the complex relationships between our daily actions and the state of the planet more visible. With every decision we take, we leave a footprint. I am committed to connect society, science, and politics across borders to develop and implement concepts for a positive footprint.
I am convinced that we can solve global problems such as environmental plastic pollution and the climate catastrophe through creative and circular thinking. For that, we have to be ready to learn from each other and from nature. Let’s get started!
Hannah studied biology (main topic: Biological Oceanography) at the GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel and the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, as well as at the University of Tromsø (Norway). She did her PhD on global sulfur and methane cycleing at the Nordic Center for Earth Evolution (NordCEE) at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense (Denmark) and then continued her research activities in the same field for a few years.
