Getting to know the Baltic Sea2Land Navigator in an interactive way

The Sea2Land Navigator is the main tool of our Baltic Sea2Land INTERREG project.

To make the Sea2Land Navigator easier to understand, a conceptual guideline in the form of a game has been developed. This approach can be used by professionals, students, or anyone interested and can be further expanded as needed to explore the Navigator’s possibilities.

Participants take on various planning roles and collaboratively work through complex, realistic scenarios where the Navigator is the central tool. The focus is on trying out a playful format that illustrates structured analysis, conflict management, and sound decision-making.

The guideline aims to make the rather complex functions of the Navigator more comprehensible and to provide ideas for a potential game setting. Groups receive a maritime spatial planning (MSP) related question, first develop their own solution approaches, and then see how a procedure supported by the Navigator might look. The results are compared, common ground is identified – and participants get a low-threshold introduction to working with the Baltic Sea2Land Navigator.

The action is supported by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027 – through the Subsidy contract for the project #C018 Baltic Sea2Land of Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
