From 14 to 15 June 2025, we welcomed around 150 visitors to our booth at the Fehmarn Belt Days in Lübeck. The sunny weather and inspiring atmosphere provided the perfect setting to present our projects for a sustainable future for the Baltic Sea region and to engage in dialogue.
Another highlight was our contribution to the Change(K)now project. Together with our partner SURI and the on-site food truck, visitors were able to get delicious, Mediterranean dishes and find out about environmentally friendly alternatives in food packaging. The response to the circular systems presented was consistently positive, and many guests took the opportunity to discuss sustainable consumption and practical implementation options.
With the BaltiPlast project, we invited visitors to take part in interactive activities on the topic of plastic reduction and recyclability. At our stand, visitors were able to test their knowledge in a quiz, take away practical tips for everyday life and be inspired by playful activities. Our offer to make your own deodorant and talk about plastic reduction in combination with an activity proved very popular. The lively participation showed how great the interest in concrete solutions for less plastic waste is. Young people in particular showed great interest in expanding their knowledge about plastic and its reduction.
As part of our Baltic Sea2Land project, we presented our work with the Fehmarn pilot region and the “Sea2Land Navigator”. The Navigator is a digital planning tool that supports municipalities and stakeholders in finding sustainable solutions for the use and development of coastal and marine areas. We also drew attention to the fifth Baltic MSP Forum “Navigate Planning Through Changes”, which will take place in Riga from November 11 to 12 this year and is also the final conference of the project.
The Fehmarn Belt Days 2025 were a complete success for us. We made many new contacts, held exciting discussions and developed ideas for the sustainable development of our coastal regions together with the visitors. The positive response and the high level of commitment encourage us to continue on this path and actively shape the future of the Baltic Sea region together with you.
